Frequently Asked Questions

How do you actually win the league?

To win you have to have the least points at the end of the season, so whoever finishes at the foot of the table will be declared the winner.

Can you accumulate minus points?

Yes, the game was inspired by SFC’s -10 point deduction last season. It is anticipated that the winner of this competition will be on minus points come the end of this season.

What happens if the two bottom teams finish on the same number of points?

In the event of a tie the winner will be decided according to the collective value of their team. If somebody spends £70m on their team and somebody spends £60m, the person who spent £70m will be the winner as they have picked the most expensive bunch of losers.

What is the bad boy bonus?

Not all bad behaviour occurs on the pitch. The bad boy bonus covers any off the pitch antics, so if a player in your team is arrested or involved in a big media scandal during the course of the season expect a –10 point bonus to come your way. The Bad Boy bonus will be allocated at the discretion of the competition promoters.

Can’t I just pick players that don’t play to ensure my team gets no points during the season?

This is the gamble of the game. In certain positions it may benefit you to select players that do not play and therefore you cannot accumulate positive points but using this tactic you also will not accumulate any minus points. In trial runs those that picked first-team player tended to do better.

Why do I have to spend a minimum of £60m on my team?

In conventional Fantasy Football you are given a maximum budget and therefore cannot just throw together an all-star team. With this game the opposite applies, to make the game more challenging you are given a minimum budget forcing you to pick some overvalued underachievers.

What if a player that I want select does not appear on the players list?

The players list is updated regularly and is restricted to first team players and substitutes. If during the course of a season a player is transferred or a reserve forces his way into the first team the list will be updated. If you spot that a player is missing off the list or is shown playing for the wrong team please contact us at 10below@seadogtrust.com and we will rectify it.

What happens if a player is injured?

Any players not playing through injury will receive 0 points. You have a maximum of 3 free transfers and 3 additional transfers at a cost of £1 per transfer during the season so make sure you use them wisely.

How much can I win?

As all proceeds from the competition go to Scarborough Athletic the prize will be relative to how many players we can obtain. We anticipate no less than a £100 jackpot but the more players the greater the prize, so if you think you’ve got this game sussed make sure you rope your family, friends and work colleagues into playing and at the end of the season your winnings will be even bigger!

Where is the login link?

It's coming soon - we decided to get the site live a few days early to allow people to get there teams entered. Don't worry, the login link will be added in time for you to make the required changes to your team.
